New Federalism Study Includes Forum Projects
A new major federalism study edited by Francesco Palermo and Elisabeth Alber from the Institute for Studies on Federalism and Regionalism, European Academy of Bolzano/Bozen (EURAC) has been published by Brill / Nihoff (Leiden /Boston). The book entitled "Federalism as Decision-Making. Changes in Structures, Procedures and Policies » features two papers emanating from the Forum of Federation’s thematic programs:
â€¢ Alan Fenna from Curtin University in Perth and Felix KnÃ¼pling from the Forum of Federations contributed a paper on "Benchmarking as a New Mode of Coordination in Federal Systems ». This paper is one outcome of a multi-year comparative project run by the Forum on comparing performance monitoring systems in federal countries.
â€¢ The chapter "Federalism as Decision-Making: Security Structures, Procedures and Policies », written by Christian Leupracht, Todd Hataley (both from the Royal Military College, Kingston) and Mario KÃ¶lling from the Gimenez Abad Foundation in Spain highlights first conclusions of the Forum of Federations thematic program "Public Security in Federal Countries ».
