Forum organizes panel on Service Delivery in New Delhi

Presenters at the IPSA conference held from 14-16 November 2013.

The annual conference of the International Political Science Association’s Research Committee on Comparative Federalism and Multilevel Governance was hosted by Ramjas College, University of Delhi, Delhi from 14-16 November 2013.

The theme of the conference was Re-thinking Politics, Policy, and Governance in Federal Systems: India and the World. The Forum of Federations organized a panel on Joint Policy Process and Service Delivery in Multilevel Systems.

Presenters on the panel included Rupak Chattopadhyay (Canada) on joint service delivery, Sonja Walti (USA) on Environmental Governance, Wolfgang Renszch (Germany) on joint services in Germany, V.N. Alok (India) on devolved service delivery in rural India and Ravi Dhingra (India) on disaster management in India. The three day conference was opened with a keynote address by Upendra Baxi, former Vice Chancellor of the University and a valedictory address was provided by Hon. Manish Tewari, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting.
