Forum president joins Nigerian deliberations

Meetings between the Forum and Nigerian academics, civil society leaders and members of the international community were held to brainstorm on how to enhance the Forum’s Nigerian program activities. Representing the Forum on the mission in late November 2006 were Forum President George Anderson and Shawn Houlihan, the Forum’s director for Africa. Mr. Anderson met with Abullahi Adamu, Governor of Nasarawa state and with senior staff at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies in Bukaru, Plateau State; and attended the Nigeria National Roundtable on Local Government and Metropolitan Regions at the University of Jos as part of the Forum’s Global Dialogue series.
