A Century of Citizenship in Australia and Canada

A conference at the University of Ottawa, February 8-10, 2001

· The three-day conference was at the University of Ottawa, from February 8 to 10, 2001.

· The Forum of Federations contributed as a partner in substantive dialogue on aboriginal citizenship and governance.

· The special session on Aboriginal Governance helped to develop institutional expertise – and to respond to the Programme Committee directive that the Forum undertake projects on aboriginal issues, particularly aboriginal fiscal relations.

· A book on this subject by participants in the conference was scheduled to be published in June, 2003 by the University of Toronto Press.
