Federalism in the Americas Report

Sao Paulo, Brazil, September 21 - 22, 2000

• The Forum of Federations participated in a two-day seminar in Sao Paulo, Brazil, involving nearly 100 government and civil society representatives from Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

• Other participants in the seminar were Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, Centro de Estudos de Cultura Contempranea (CEDEC) and the Getulio Vargas Foundation.

• The Forum contributed to the development of the substantive aspect of the seminar’s agenda and supported the participation of three international speakers.

• The Forum agreed to contribute to this project on extremely short notice.

• Forum of Federations Vice-President Céline Auclair participated in the seminar.
