The Forum25 anniversary event in Ottawa brought together a global community to celebrate twenty-five years of the Forum of Federations and to discuss the role of federalism in a modern context.  The discussions highlighted how flexible governance structures can help nations navigate current global pressures like climate change, the rapid rise of digital technology, challenges in fragile and divided societies, and building strong intergovernmenal fiscal relations.

Incorporating perspectives from a diverse group of experts, the conference demonstrated that federal principles offer a practical way to balance local needs with national goals. The conference concluded that the ability to negotiate and share power remains essential for building stable, inclusive societies that can adapt to the challenges of the future.
